Man Ray

Even though my work is going to nearly entirely be digital based is almost impossible to ignore the work of Man Ray. One of the main starters of Avant-garde his work has inspired so much work in the modern era it's fantastic. Just take the photo below, created doing double exposures on 35mm film it's has a very interesting look which is great. I really prefer this single picture far more then most of the modern, extremely average digital manipulation photography that I see being created day-in day-out. I think the thing with Man Ray's photography is that it has a endless age, with digital photography there is newer software out and people are always getting better but with manipulation photography on 35mm is that it's hard to get that much better and some of the results, however simple it is it will still have a strong look.
